OVERALL. VALORIZZARE GLI ATLETI E’ IL NOSTRO MESTIERE
Sulle strade della Milano-Sanremo, nell’iconico Bar Trieste di Ovada, vi e’ stato il passaggio di consegne per Matteo Bertrand e Luca Cibrario dalla maglia OVERALL TRE COLLI vestita nel 2021 ai nuovi colori che indosseranno nel 2022. Ambedue per un balzo in avanti di categoria: da dilettanti a Continental, che pur essendo ancora il gradino piu’ basso in ambito Professionistico, permettera’ loro di confrontarsi piu’ volte in gare della massima categoria ciclistica. E questo non puo’ che essere un onore ed una soddisfazione per OVERALL e la conferma del lavoro da sempre svolto per la valorizzazione dei propri corridori, una fucina sportiva che ogni anno da i propri frutti.
Matteo Bertrand, Ovadese, in questo anno di sodalizio novese, ha notevolmente accresciuto le proprie doti di corridore solido malgrado un serio infortunio sul finale di stagione.
La sua caparbieta’ e’ stata notata dalla dirigenza del Team Meridiana e in pochi passi ha trovato l’accordo per il contratto.
Luca Cibrario, di Cirie’, con OVERALL ha corso il suo primo anno completamente dedicato alla “strada”, lui che da Under 23 ha sempre battuto i campi sterrati del ciclocross. E’ stata una scommessa vinta dai dirigenti e tecnici del Team: un 2^ posto e tanti piazzamenti nella Top Ten oltre a due convocazioni in Nazionale, che lo hanno messo nel mirino di squadre di categoria superiore ed in questo caso la Beltrami, che destino vuole porta anche il logo Tre Colli, Main Sponsor da parecchi anni di OVERALL.
Dispiace sempre perdere atleti di valore ma il fatto di essere riusciti ad inserirli in un contesto che potrebbe aprire loro ampie strade verso il ciclismo di vertice e’ anche questa una Vittoria.
E il passato insegna: cosi’ e stato, nella storia del Team, per 15 atleti che hanno indossato questa casacca.Ne citiamo due: Eduard Grosu e Umberto Marengo, tutt’ora in campo con la Professional Hopper Drone-Androni.
On the streets of Milan-Sanremo, in the iconic Bar Trieste in Ovada, there was the handover for Matteo Bertrand and Luca Cibrario from the OVERALL TRE COLLI jersey dressed in 2021 to the new colors they will wear in 2022. Both for a leap in ahead of category: from amateurs to Continental, which despite being still the lowest step in the professional field, will allow them to compete several times in races of the highest cycling category. And this can only be an honor and satisfaction for OVERALL and the confirmation of the work it has always done for the enhancement of its riders, a sporting breeding ground that bears fruit every year.
Matteo Bertrand, Ovadese, in this year of association from Novi, has considerably increased his skills as a solid rider despite a serious injury at the end of the season. His stubbornness was noticed by the management of Team Meridiana and in a few steps he found the agreement for the contract. Luca Cibrario, from Cirie ‘, with OVERALL raced his first year completely dedicated to the “road”, he who from Under 23 has always beaten the dirt fields of cyclocross. It was a bet won by the managers and technicians of the Team: a 2nd place and many placings in the Top Ten that put him in the crosshairs of higher category teams and in this case Beltrami, which destiny also bears the Tre Colli logo , Main Sponsor of OVERALL for several years.
It is always a pity to lose valuable athletes, but the fact of having managed to place them in a context that could open wide paths for them towards top cycling is also a victory.
