United Arab Emirates, 3 February 2025 – The official teams and sponsors for the third edition of the UAE Tour Women, running from 6 to 9 February, and of the seventh edition of the UAE Tour, running from 17 to 23 February, have been announced.

The main favorite for the overall win is Elisa Longo Borghini, champion of the inaugural 2023 edition. In her new team, Longo Borghini will have Silvia Persico, third in 2023, as a key climbing support. Among her main rivals are Mavi Garcia, third place in 2024, Juliette Labous, the French national champion, and former world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, making her debut with Team Visma | Lease a Bike. Exciting sprint battles are expected, with European champion Lorena Wiebes, a three-time stage winner, and Charlotte Kool, who took two victories in 2023, both in contention. Chiara Consonni, Elisa Balsamo, and Vittoria Guazzini are also among the main contenders for the fast stages.

Among the top contenders for overall victory are Tadej Pogačar, world champion and winner of the UAE Tour in 2021 and 2022, and Lennart Van Eetvelt, who triumphed in last year’s edition. Also worth watching are Michael Storer, who finished fourth in 2024, and Einer Rubio, Jebel Jais winner in 2023. A strong lineup of sprinters is also set to take the start, led by European champion Tim Merlier, a five-time stage winner between 2023 and 2024. His main challengers include Olav Kooij, who claimed victory in 2024, Dylan Groenewegen, a stage winner in 2020 and 2023, and Jonathan Milan, a two-time Maglia Ciclamino winner at the Giro d’Italia.
