ANDRONI GIOCATTOLI SIDERMEC: AL TOTA UNO SPLENDIDO CEPEDA È 5° E MAGLIA BIANCA
Uno splendido Jefferson Alexander Cepeda ha chiuso al 5° posto la seconda tappa del Tour of the Alps, quella da Innsbruck a Feichten im Kaunertal (121 chilometri) tutta in territorio austriaco.
Il corridore ecuadoriano dell’Androni Giocattoli Sidermec negli ultimi 25 chilometri di un’insidiosa frazione ha battagliato con i big sui saliscendi verso il traguardo.
A vincere è stato Simon Yates, primo con 41” di vantaggio su Sivakov e 58” sul terzetto Martin, Vlasov e Cepeda appunto.
Dietro a loro più staccati nell’ordine Hindley, Carthy, Schultz, Bardet, Guerreiro e via via gli altri big con Bilbao, Sosa e Quintana.
Con il risultato di oggi Cepeda, che ha 22 anni, ha conquistato la maglia bianca di miglior giovane.
Per lui anche il 5° posto in classifica generale dove guida Yates.
Domani 3ª tappa da Imst a Naturns (162 chilometri).

PRESS RELEASE – ANDRONI GIOCATTOLI SIDERMEC: AT TOTA A SPLENDID CEPEDA IS 5th AND WHITE JERSEY
A splendid Jefferson Alexander Cepeda finished in 5th place the second stage of the Tour of the Alps, the one from Innsbruck to Feichten im Kaunertal (121 kilometers) all in Austria. In the last 25 kilometers of an insidious stage, the Ecuadorian rider of Androni Giocattoli Sidermec battled with the big names on the ups and downs towards the finish line. The winner was Simon Yates, first with 41” ahead of Sivakov and 58” over the trio Martin, Vlasov and Cepeda.
