Saitama (Japan), Sunday November 4^th  2018. A month after conquering the rainbow jersey, Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team) claimed the sixth edition of Le Tour de France Saitama Critérium. The World champion sprinted to victory after an exciting duel against the Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas (Team Sky). Yukiya Arashiro (Special TDF Japan Team) finished third after being one of the most active riders in a fast paced race on the 3.1-km circuit in the streets of Saitama. Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates) won the Green jersey and Vincenzo Nibali (Bahrain-Merida) took the Polka-dot jersey. Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton-Scott) won the combativity award.
