Ecco il Giro della Val D’Aosta 2017

Si è svolta oggi l’assemblea annuale della Società ciclistica valdostana, organizzatrice del Giro ciclistico internazionale Valle d’Aosta.
Nell’occasione, oltre a fare il punto sull’edizione passata, sono state presentate le sedi di tappa dell’edizione 2017, in programma dal 12 al 16 luglio prossimi:
12 luglio SAINT GERVAIS MONT BLANC – SAINT NICOLAS DE VEROCE
13 luglio QUASSOLO – QUINCINETTO (SCALARO)
14 luglio VILLENEUVE – INTROD (LES COMBES)
15 luglio VALTOURNENCHE – BREUIL CERVINIA
16 luglio AOSTA – VALGRISENCHE
“Oggi abbiamo giustamente celebrato con i nostri associati il Giro del 2016 che, seppur orfano di una tappa, credo abbia mantenuto, e finanche migliorato, l’elevato standard che tutti si aspettano da questa manifestazione, tanto che anche l’UCI ha rimarcato, nel suo rapporto annuale, la qualità dell’organizzazione, l’eccellenza della sicurezza in corsa e l’elevata selettività dei percorsi.” – ha dichiarato il Presidente Riccardo Moret nella sua relazione – “Ora però guardiamo avanti.
Il Giro 2017 è completato, su 5 tappe, e si svolgerà a cavallo tra Valle d’Aosta, Francia e Piemonte.
Un grande ringraziamento è da fare ai Comuni che hanno scelto di essere sedi di tappa, investendo in una manifestazione che credo possa valorizzare al meglio il loro territorio.
Le tappe prevederanno tutti arrivi in salita, confermando la tradizione che vede il “Val d’Aosta” come la corsa più impegnativa del calendario U23.
La quarta tappa, con l’arrivo non eccessivamente impegnativo a Les Combes di Introd, verrà disegnata con un percorso da “classica del nord”, con anche tratti di sterrato, dando così spazio anche a chi non è propriamente scalatore.
Nelle prossime settimane definiremo nel dettaglio i percorsi e completeremo il quadro delle squadre partenti, con l’eccellenza dei club mondiali al via, oltre ad alcune selezioni nazionali e regionali.
Poi non resterà che fare il conto alla rovescia.”

Today it took place the annual meeting of Società Ciclistica Valdostana, the organizer of the Giro Ciclistico Internazionale Valle d’Aosta. During the meeting, beyond taking stock of the past edition, there have been presented all the locations of 2017 edition, scheduled from July 12th, to 16th:
July 12th SAINT GERVAIS MONT BLANC – SAINT NICOLAS DE VEROCE July 13th QUASSOLO – QUINCINETTO (SCALARO) July 14th VILLENEUVE – INTROD (LES COMBES) July 15th VALTOURNENCHE – BREUIL CERVINIA July 16th AOSTA – VALGRISENCHE «Today we have rightly celebrated Giro 2016 with our associates, despite orphan of a stage, it has maintained, and maybe even improved, the high standards that everyone expects from this event, so much that even UCI has remarked, in its annual report, the organization’s quality, the excellence in safety and the high selectivity of the routes». – President Riccardo Moret said in his report – «But now we look forward. The Giro 2017 is defined, on 5 stages, and it will take place across Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont and France. A big thanks goes to municipalities that have chosen to be the arrival locations, by investing in an event that I think it might valorize the best of their territories. The stages will have uphill finishes, confirming the tradition that sees the Giro as the most exciting race of the U23 calendar. The fourth stage, with the arrival not particularly demanding to Les Combes of Introd, will be drawn with a course inspired to the “Classics of the North”, even with some white road stints, giving space also to those who are not pure climbers. In the coming weeks we will define in detail the routes and we will complete the roster of teams which will participate in, with the excellence of the world’s best clubs at the start, as well as some national and regional selections. Then the thrill of the countdown will start».

Dimanche de travail pour la Società Ciclistica Valdostana, qui aujourd’hui – dimanche 26 fevrier – s’est retrouvée à Charvensod pour l’approvation des budgets de 2016.
L’assemblée de la société organisatrice du Giro ciclistico internazionale Valle d’Aosta à été aussi l’occasion pour présenter les villes étapes de l’édition 2017 de la course, qui se déroulera du mercredi 12 au dimanche 16 juillet prochains.

«Aujourd’hui on vient de célébrer aves nos associés le Giro 2016, qui s’est déroulé sur cinq étapes seulement mais qui à tout de même maintenu – où plutôt amélioré – les standards de qualité de la course: l’Uci, dans son rapport, a voulu souligner l’haut niveau de l’organisation et des parcours. – a dit le président du Tour du Val d’Aoste Riccardo Moret – Maintenant, c’est le moment de regarder au futur. Le Tour 2017 est complet, avec ces cinq étapes qui se dérouleront sur le Val d’Aoste, Haute Savoie et Piémont. Je dois faire un grand remerciement aux Communes qui ont voulu cette année aussi recevoir sur leur territoire cette course magnifique. Les étapes se termineront toutes par une montée, comme est tradition sur les routes du Tour du Val d’Aoste, qui reste le course la plus difficile du panorama international des moins de 23 ans. Tout de même, dans la troisième journée avec arrivée finale à Les Combes d’Introd sera similaire à une course du Nord Europe, une classique de Belgique qui pourrait sourire à un coureur qui n’est pas un grimpeur pur. Dans les prochaines semaines nous définirons les détails des parcours et des équipes, parmi lesquelles on aura bien sur les noms des teams les plus importants de la catégorie».
